These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and MESLI (“MESLI”, “we”, “us”) covering the MESLI mobile application and the services it connects to (together, the “App”). By downloading, opening or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
MESLI builds a weekly meal plan from the household details you enter — how many people you cook for, your weekly grocery budget, cuisines you like, dietary needs, foods to avoid and the equipment in your kitchen. It produces recipes, portion counts, estimated per-serving costs and a grocery list grouped by aisle. With the Vision add-on it can also estimate the nutrition of a meal from a photo and suggest recipes from a photo of your fridge or a list of ingredients you type in.
Everything the App shows you is an estimate produced by automated systems, including large language models. Specifically:
MESLI is a planning and budgeting tool. It does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietetic advice, and nothing in the App is a diagnosis, treatment or professional recommendation. Do not use it to manage a medical condition. If you have health concerns, allergies, are pregnant, or are planning meals for infants or young children, consult a qualified professional.
You must be at least 13 years old to use MESLI, and old enough under the law of your country to enter into this agreement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. The App is intended for personal, household use.
MESLI offers auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store. Some plans start with a free trial period.
All purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are at Apple’s discretion and are governed by the App Store Terms of Sale; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.
You agree not to:
You keep ownership of the photos and information you provide. You grant us a limited licence to process them solely to deliver the features you requested — for example, sending a photo to our processing provider to estimate nutrition. As between you and us, we retain ownership of the App itself, its design, branding and software. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App for your own household.
Meal plans, recipes and lists generated for you are yours to cook from, print and share privately with your household. Because they are automatically generated, similar or identical output may be produced for other users, and we make no claim of originality or exclusivity in them.
We may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time, and we may limit or discontinue the App. Automated generation depends on third-party providers and can be temporarily unavailable, slow or degraded. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
You may stop using the App at any time and delete it from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that creates risk or legal exposure. Sections that by their nature should survive — including disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — survive termination.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MESLI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, or loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
These Terms are between you and MESLI, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the App, including product liability, regulatory compliance or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice in the App. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Nothing in these Terms takes away the consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live, and you may always bring proceedings before your local courts. Where the law allows a choice, these Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of your country of residence. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
